Andrew Scarmack takes over as the Fitch boys tennis coach, inheriting a team that went 4-17 a season ago while failing to win a Federal League contest.
“This is an exciting time for me because this team has plenty of enthusiasm. They’ve worked hard in the off-season and are more than ready to get started.
“Our goals remain very simple. It’s a clean slate for everyone, so improving our Federal League finish from last season is a top priority. Outside of the league, we want to be a force each and every time out,” Scarmack noted.
The Falcons lost two seniors from last year’s team, but will be a senior-laden team with seven seniors looking for playing time.
That senior class includes Elliot Pestian, Sean Pavlac, Adam Delduchetto, Deven Patel, John Phan, Sam Trimm and Malik Abdul.
Also, sophomore Josh Hering who lettered as a freshman a season ago, is back in the fold as well.
