Villa Maria center offers new art class


VILLA MARIA, Pa.

A new art class, added to the schedule at Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center. 2105 Evergreen Road, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 12, 19 and 26.

Sister Paulette Kirschensteiner, HM, will teach participants how to make a woven mandala. In the first class students will learn the basic Native American basket weaving technique. A mandala will be created during the second class, and during the final class students will learn how to create sculptural forms with the technique.

The cost is $50, and a $25 deposit is required. Those registering prior to the Sunday deadline will receive $10 off the fee.
