ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 9:30 a.m. May 7 in the north lounge at Park Vista North, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. A Belgian waffle and fresh fruit breakfast will be served. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. May 10 at A La Cart in Canfield. The menu will be baked chicken, pork roast, potatoes, green beans, vegetable, salad and dessert for $17. The membership will vote on new officers for the 2011-12 year and new scholarship recipients. “Scrapper,” mascot of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, will be a guest. William Penn Association Branch 28, Youngstown, will have a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grand Buffet Restaurant on Market Street, Boardman, to discuss the 2011 convention. Three delegates and three alternates will be elected for the September convention.

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet at 6 p.m. May 10 at Stonebridge Grille in Boardman. The evening will begin with dinner, followed by speaker Christina Hardy, career planning coordinator at the Office of Career and Counseling Services at Youngstown State University, who will present “The Job Interview.” A business meeting will follow. Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1946 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Denny’s in Austintown. All classmates and spouses are welcome. On June 2 the class will have a special 65th class reunion breakfast. No reservations are needed.

Fowler Township Historical Society will have a program on the Civil War at 8 p.m. Thursday, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the start of the war. The program will take place at the Fowler Community Center and be presented by Dave Cover, club president.
