SOUTHINGTON

Briana Sinn earned her 500th career strikeout, believed to be a school record, by fanning 12 batters in Lordstown’s win. Sami Heverly had two hits, and Melody Taylro drove in a pair of runs for Lordstown.

Columbiana 13,

Springfield 3

COLUMBIANA

Katie Libb homered and Khylea Fullum had a pair of singles to lead Columbiana. Paige Machin and Hayley Goist added doubles for the Clippers (7-5, 4-5 ITCL). For Springfield (3-6, 3-5), Jessica Evan hit a home run and two singles. Madison Groner also homered while Charley Troggio singled twice.

Champion 5, LaBrae 4

LEAVITTSBURG

Tawny Rogers had two doubles and a single, Taylor Petersal had two singles, Haley McAllister had two hits and Sierra Blackson had two doubles and three RBIs for Champion (13-0, 6-0 AAC). Lindsay Swipas (9-0) had 12 strikeouts, including one in the bottom of the seventh to end the game with the bases loaded. LaBrae’s (1-5, 1-3) Courtney Aldridge had two-run homer and Somer McCoy had a solo shot. Kelsie Daniel doubled and Danielle Webber singled twice.

McDonald 7, Sebring 0

MCDONALD

Leigh Gatta tossed a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts to lead McDonald (9-1). Emily Magill added three hits for the Blue Devils, including a double, while Shelby Crist and Rachel Jones both contributed two hits and two RBIs. Jessica Montella also drove in a pair of runs. Ashley Meiter had both of Sebring’s hits.

Struthers 9, Salem 8

STRUTHERS

The Wildcats scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh. Nicole Carano brought home the winning run — Mandy Ditman — on a sacrifice bunt.

BELOIT

Three errors cost the Warriors. Cheyenne Miller had two hits, including a double, for West Branch.

Kayley Keller had a triple while Gina Mancini and Abby Baker each brought in a run for the Cardinals.

Alex DiDomenico allowed just five hits and no runs. She and Danielle Petrus had doubles.

CUYAHOGA FALLS

Julie Ammar’s two-run double in the fifth led Walsh Jesuit. Nicholette Maderitz had a three-hitter with seven strikeouts for Ursuline (7-6), which was held to five singles.

Brock McGivern went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Cards, while Josh Midgley added three singles.

Western Reserve 10, Jackson-Milton 8

NORTH JACKSON

Thomas Benyo’s three-run triple carried Western Reserve (6-2) to victory. John Gherardi had a solo home run for J-M (2-6, 0-4 ITCL).
