Plane makes emergency landing in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A plane headed from New York to Washington, D.C., had to make an emergency landing in eastern Pennsylvania because its cabin door wasn’t properly shut.

The Morning Call of Allentown reports the plane landed at Lehigh Valley International Airport around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when the pilot noticed the door wasn’t latched correctly.

Officials say the 35 passengers on the Delta flight were temporarily grounded while the airline determines what caused the problem.
