SEBRING

For McDonald (8-1, 8-0 ITCL), Emily Magill had four hits including two doubles, Shelby Crist had three hits including a double and Leigh Gatta had a double and single. Pitcher Ashley Seybert had nine strikeouts. For Sebring (5-10, 3-4), Taylor Ward went 3-for-3.

Champion 14, Campbell 0

CHAMPION

Agnell Hohbart struck out 11 and also had a double for the Golden Flashes. Lindsay Swipas had a home run and a double, and she and teammate Taryn Hanna each had three RBIs.

Struthers 11, Girard 5

STRUTHERS

As part of Struthers’ 18-hit attack, Katie Jordan had a double and two singles and three RBIs in the AAC White Tier game. Also for the Wildcats (6-8, 1-1), Sarah Sajnovsky had three singles, Jessica Ditman had a double, and Celeste Cavanaugh and Rachel Affagato each had two singles. Hannah Dubec struck out 10 in relief for Struthers. Mandy Ditman’s two-run homer in the third inning put Struthers on top, 5-4. Bryanna Jay had a double and single, Morgan Walters had a double and single and Kylie Kulon two singles for Girard (6-5, 3-1).

South Range 10, Crestview 0

BEAVER TWP.

The weather made Crestview home game happen at South Range, and the Raiders took full advantage. The offense had 13 hits while pitcher Madison Yanek struck out five.

Lakeview 3, Ursuline 0

BAZETTA

Kim Lane singled three times and Alexis Neumeister had two hits for the Bulldogs (7-0). Neumeister (4-0) pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts for Lakeview at Candlelite Knolls. Ursuline is 7-5.

BASEBALL

Lakeview 5, Jefferson 4

CORTLAND

Josh Pryor (3-1) struck out 15 during a five-hitter, while Darren Hamilton and A.J. Hrusovsky both had two singles for Lakeview (6-5). Shane O’Connor had a two-run single. For Jefferson, Ryan Hayes and Scott Davidson both went 2-for-3.

Jackson 12, Boardman 10

MASSILLON

James Feller had a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Polar Bears the win. Five home runs were hit, including a grand slam by Boardman’s Joey Markovtich. Also going yard were Steve Cardwell and Austin Szink (two) of Jackson.

Crestview 3, South Range 1

BEAVER TWP.

The Rebels scored all three of their runs in the third inning. Tom Marnejon of South Range had a triple, while Brian Orr (Crestview) and John Pifer (South Range) had a double each.

Mineral Ridge 6, United 5

MINERAL RIDGE

Zach Tasker had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh for Mineral Ridge (3-6, 2-6 ITCL). Also for Mineral Ridge, Tom Robbins had two singles and two RBIs, while Dan Ferguson had a double and scored twice.

Sebring 3, McDonald 2

SEBRING

Alex Bison had two singles for McDonald (3-7, 3-4 ITCL Tier Two). Hurford had two singles for Sebring (11-1).

Minerva 11, West Branch 5

MINERVA

Matt Unkefer had two hits including a double and an RBI and Cody Hinkle had an RBI hit for West Branch (8-9, 3-6 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).
