Police: Bad GPS directions led to crash

DUNMORE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a GPS system’s faulty directions led to a head-on crash in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Dunmore police say a woman went the wrong way on Pa. Route 435 on Monday evening then struck another motorist.

Investigators say the woman reported that she was following the instructions of her GPS unit when she took a wrong turn to end up going north in the southbound lanes.

The woman had to pass a “Do Not Enter” sign but didn’t notice her mistake.

The woman was not injured in the crash but the other driver sustained minor injuries.
