FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will feature homemade baked chicken, salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 159 Reed Ave. Campbell, will sell homemade haluski to be picked up from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the church hall. The donation is $5 a quart. To order call 330-755-0036 or 330-755-4141 from 9 a.m. to noon today.

VFW Post 5532 and Back Hall, 575 S. County Road, Washingtonville, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 8 p.m. Meals of fried or baked haddock, baked chicken tenders or shrimp will be served with macaroni and cheese or fries and coleslaw. For takeouts call 330-427-2533.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road SW, Newton Falls, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, coffee, tea and punch. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will have a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. A donation will be accepted for the all-you-can-eat breakfast or brunch of eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, and beverages. First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will have a pasta dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased by calling the church at 330-652-5712 or at the door. Children 5 and under eat free.

Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will have a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Available will be all-you-can-eat pancakes with sausage or biscuits and gravy. The donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children under 12. This is the final breakfast of the season.

Vincent United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., will serve a stuffed pork chop dinner beginning at 12:30 p.m. The meal includes potatoes, vegetable, applesauce, desserts and beverages. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

TUESDAY

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1907 Wick-Campbell Road, Hubbard, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Meals include mashed potatoes, coleslaw, green beans, bread and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. There will be a bake sale, and takeouts will be available.

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls for $1.50 each from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until sold out. TAKING ORDERS

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for carryout stuffed cabbage rolls to be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 21 at the social hall. The cost is $15 per dozen or $7.50 a half dozen. To place an order call 330-755-6340.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for stuffed cabbage costing $12 a dozen. Place order by calling 330-792-5124 before May 6. Patrons may provide their own containers and save a $1.25 container fee. Orders can be picked up at the club between noon and 4 p.m. May 13 or 14.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., will serve ham loaf dinners from 5 to 7 p. m. May 14. Meals are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Coitsville Presbyterian Church, 91 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will have a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 14. Meals are $6 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 18 and free for those 5 and under.

Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will serve chicken pot pie dinners with mashed potatoes and gravy, roll, salad, homemade dessert and beverage from 5 to 6:30 p.m. May 11. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Those 5 and under eat free. Carryouts will be available. This will be the final dinner until September.

Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 at 534, Southington, will have a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. May 4. The menu includes a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, homemade dessert and beverage. Meals are $7.50 for adults. Chicken tender meals for children 4 through 10 are $4, and those 3 and under eat free. For carryouts call 330-898-2156, and meals will be ready for pickup. Carryouts will be available.

St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will serve a dinner honoring mothers at noon May 8. For a freewill donation, a choice of roasted chicken breast or glazed ham will be served with mashed potatoes and gravy, California-blend vegetables and green beans, tossed salad, applesauce, rolls and butter, dessert and beverage. Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will have an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 6. Meals include potatoes, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. Meatloaf will be available. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available.
