School art exhibit to begin Friday at mall

The third of four 2011 School Art Exhibitions featuring artwork by local kindergarten through 12th-grade students will open at the Art Outreach Gallery at the Eastwood Mall on Friday.

The show will feature artwork by students in Lakeview School District, Warren School District and Youngstown East High along with entries from the Stambaugh Chorus “Giving Voice to Peace” art contest. The show will run through May 8.

The schedule of events for the student art exhibition is as follows:

5 p.m. Friday: Warren School District opening art reception.

6 p.m. May 4: Warren Willard K-8 Jazz Ensemble performance.

6 to 8 p.m. May 5: Lake-view School District art reception.

1 to 5 p.m. May 8: Warren School District closing art reception.
