Stocks set to rise ahead of full week of earnings
NEW YORK (AP) — Wall Street will focus on another full slate of corporate earnings this week as several big companies report their first-quarter performance.
Ford Motor Co., Coca-Cola, and Exxon-Mobil are among the companies reporting earnings over the next five days. Movie rental company Netflix Inc. will release its earnings report after the market closes today.
Ahead of the opening bell Monday, Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 21 points, or 0.2 percent, to 12,455. S&P 500 futures were up 3, or 0.2 percent, to 1,334. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 4, or 0.2 percent, to 2,379.
Stock futures do not always predict how prices will move after the opening bell.
