Stocks mixed to start full week of earnings

NEW YORK (AP) — Wall Street is wobbling at the start of another full week of corporate earnings reports. Stock indexes are mixed in early trading.

Several large companies will report first-quarter earnings this week, including Ford Motor, Coca-Cola and Exxon Mobil.

Auto parts supplier Johnson Controls Inc. is down 2.1 percent despite topping analyst estimates after the company said rising commodity costs are cutting into margins. RadioShack is down nearly 3 percent after the company missed earnings estimates and said that costs were rising.

Shortly after the opening bell, the Dow Jones industrial average is down 20 points, or 0.1 percent, to 12,484. The S&P 500 is down 1, or 0.1 percent, to 1,336. The Nasdaq composite is up 1, or 0.1 percent, to 2,822.
