Pugels’ 65th anniversary to be observed

AMHERST, OHIO

Mr. and Mrs. John H. Pugel of Amherst will observe their 65th wedding anniversary April 27 at their home with family and friends.

The former Hermina M. Perechlin and Mr. Pugel were married on that date in 1946 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Youngstown, where they are members. They also are members of SNPJ.

The couple have two children, Brenda J. Kovach of Amherst and John T. Pugel of Girard. They also have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pugel had various jobs before retiring in 1976.

Mr. Pugel was stationed with the U.S. Army Military Police in Persia (Iran) during World War 11. He retired in1974 from Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown, where he was a rolling mill operator.

The couple’s children and a granddaughter, Dr. Corie Kovach, are hosting the anniversary celebration.
