The General Motors Co. Lordstown production facility is planning a public open house July 28, said Tom Mock, spokesman for the facility. Specific details aren’t known, but Mock said the facility will announce formal plans soon.

Chamber meeting

The Youngstown/ Warren Regional Chamber, in conjunction with Chamber Explorations, will host an informational meeting at 5:30 p.m. May 2 at the Holiday Inn Boardman, 7410 South Ave., to discuss a trip to China. The vacation, scheduled for Nov. 2- 11, is open to all residents of the Mahoning and Shenango valleys and guests.

The cost of the trip is $2,099 per person, which includes seven hotel nights, 20 meals, round-trip airfare from New York (including air taxes, fees and baggage handling), and tour and guide services.

Chick-fil-A to host live Leadercast

Boardman Chick-fil-A, 7401 Market St., in conjunction with Greenford Christian Church, will host a live broadcast of the Chick-fil-A Leadercast from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 6. Muhtar Kent, president and CEO of the Coca-Cola Co., Mack Brown, University of Texas football coach, and Dave Ramsey, personal money-management expert, are some of the presenting speakers.

Tickets are $85 per person and include the leadership sessions, lunch and learning materials.

Goodyear is 38th on Forbes list

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered in Akron, was ranked 38th by Forbes in its annual ranking of corporate reputation in the United States.

It was the magazine’s sixth yearly ranking, which is based on results of a survey that measures respect, trust, esteem, admiration and good feelings of consumers.

Parma Metal Center to have open house

PARMA

The General Motors Parma Metal Center, 5400 Chevrolet Blvd., will host an open house May 22 and 23.

Appropriate footwear (low-heeled, fully closed) is required. For safety reasons, open-back, open-toe or high-heel shoes (over 1 inch) will not be permitted. The plant will provide safety glasses and other equipment.
