New deputy clerk

Tara Maine, formerly of Canfield, has been hired as the new deputy clerk of council in North Ridgeville in Lorain County.

She is a 1998 graduate of Canfield High School and attended Youngstown State University for one year before transferring to Ohio State University, where she graduated in 2003 with a double major in political science and criminal justice. She received a post-baccalaureate degree in paralegal studies in 2009.

She worked for the city of Hilliard as a city clerk and paralegal and as program compliance officer for the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County.

Maine has certifications and memberships with various legal societies, including the Columbus Bar Association, Paralegal Association of Central Ohio, National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Ohio Municipal Clerks Association, International Institute of Municipal Clerks and the Ohio State Bar Association. She and her fianc , Robert Peet, are to be married in October. She is the daughter of Richard and Kathy Lynn Maine of Canfield.
