Beigels celebrate 50th anniversary at family dinner

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Beigel of Youngstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 25.

Mrs. Beigel is a homemaker. She worked as a medical technologist in Philadelphia before her marriage.

Mr. Beigel was an auditor for the federal government, in the Milk Market Administration, before retiring in 1995. He worked briefly at Briel’s Flowers after his retirement.

Mr. Beigel and the former Kathleen Callen were married at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon, Pa., on Feb. 25, 1961.

The family honored the couple at a dinner March 5 at Bruno’s Restaurant in Poland. The celebration was hosted by their daughters, Sharon Kurjan of Poland, Sheila Foxworthy of Statesville, N.C., and Suzette Moyer of Palmetto, Fla.

Completing the family are sons-in-law Mike Kurjan, James Foxworthy and Bruce Moyer and grandchildren, Michael and Monica Kurjan and Dakota and Callie Moyer. Three grandchildren are deceased: Brian, Marc and Jessica Kurjan.
