Y offering free seminafor kids on bullying

YWCA Warren, 375 North Park Ave., will host a free seminar for children in kindergarten through eighth grade and their parents regarding “Stranger Danger and Bullying to Buddies” at 10:30 a.m.next Saturday as part of the organization’s Minority Health Month seminar series.

Ron Sanders, founder of Real Life Situations, will teach children how to deal with strangers and how to avoid potentially dangerous situations.

The Bullies to Buddies curriculum teaches tolerance and avoidance techniques using Tai Sabaki moves, and will be taught by Jennifer Costarell, therapeutic martial arts instructor at Summit Academy in Warren.

Martial arts also will be performed by the demonstration teams from GTA Karate & Summit Academy, Warren. A light lunch will be provided by city of Warren’s Weed & Seed Program.
