Mixer and art auction to aid Ghana mission

BOARDMAN

R.E.S.T.O.R.E. Worldwide, Inc. is hosting “Restaurer la Vie II,” a mixer and art auction, from 7:30 until 10:30 p.m. April 30 at Johnny’s Fine Foods and Spirits, 7807 Market Street.

The purpose of the fundraiser is to help support R.E.S.T.O.R.E. and its team of medical professionals in their efforts to restore hope and lives across the globe.

R.E.S.T.O.R.E. is a nonprofit medical organization that offers free reconstructive surgery and related medical services to abused children and battered people with accidental and congenital deformities.

Dr. Michael Obeng, chief of plastic surgery at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, formed a team of health-care professionals from all over the United States to accompany him to Ghana from May 20 through June 5. This is R.E.S.T.O.R.E.’s third official mission trip.

The fundraiser will feature art from Ghana. Also, internationally renowned artist Ray Simon will unveil a preliminary pencil rendering of his soon-to-be released painting, “The Crucifixion.”

There will be 500 canvas framed “giclee” pieces for auction or purchase worldwide. Giclee is a printing method that uses an inkjet printer and results in high-quality reproductions. Proceeds will be directed to the support of R.E.S.T.O.R.E.

The tickets for the event are $100 per person and $175 per couple. To buy tickets and/or to make a donation, call 888-399-0794 or email restoreworldwideinc@gmail.com.
