Poland baseball coach Rich Murray will enter his eighth season as coach of the Bulldogs, hoping his team can build on its 16-7 mark and second-place All-American Conference Red Tier finish in 2010.

“We’re very young and return just four seniors to the fold. If we are to be successful, then our younger players need to step up right from the start. We’re rally counting on them to contribute heavily this season,” Murray noted.

Gone from the program are departed seniors Dom DeFelice, John Price, Seaon Gabriel, Phil Lipari, Brian Helbley and Jim Dobran.

The returning seniors include David Bobby (first base/pitcher); Clay Cooper (pitcher/shortstop); Chris Lipari (outfield) and catcher Alex Magni.

Among the other nine letterwinners returning are juniors Tyler Dixon (pitcher/third base); C.J. Nocera (first base); Colin Reardon (pitcher/center field) and Connor Schultheis (outfield), and sophomore Nick Andrews (pitcher/catcher/shortstop/second base).
