Scholarship luncheon Saturday honors slain Realtor Vivian Martin

GIRARD

The Vivian D. Martin Realtist Memorial Scholarship Luncheon will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. today at Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.

The scholarship is named after Martin, who was murdered in September 2010 while showing a home on Youngstown’s East Side. Martin, 67, was owner of Youngstown-based Essence Realty.

Speaker will be Yulanda McCarty-Harris, director of equal opportunity and diversity at Youngstown State University.

Tickets are $30 per person. The event is sponsored by the Youngstown-Warren Realtist Association.
