Mechanical failure caused power outage this morning

YOUNGSTOWN — A mechanical failure at a electric substation left about 3,900 Ohio Edison customers without power for two hours this morning.

Power was lost about 12:15 a.m. and restored to all customers by 2:15 a.m., said David Turner, Ohio Edison’s area manager for Mahoning and Columbiana counties. The customers who lost power were in Youngstown, Struthers, Campbell and Coitsville, he said.
