YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State has had three more recruits for its volleyball program.

Brianna Bartlett of Bloomington, Ind.; Samantha Diebold of Deer Park, and Rachel Gambow from Hartville will join coach Krista Burrows’ program in the fall.

They join Alexis Egler and Shannon Watson, who signed in November.

Bartlett was a four-year starter as a 5-foot-8 setter at Bloomington North High School. As a senior, she posted 724 assists, 216 digs and 51 aces in leading the Cougars to the conference title and a 26-4 record. She had 35 assists in a three-set match against Southport last season. Bartlett was an all-conference pick and first-team all-area selection in each of her last three seasons.

Diebold, a 5-7 defensive specialist, helped Mount Notre Dame to back-to-back berths in the regional semifinals. She was also selected for the Senior Showcase All-Star Match.

Gambow is a transfer who played the previous two seasons at Towson (Md.) University. A 5-9 defensive specialist, she appeared in 32 matches for the Tigers and averaged 1.86 digs per set. In high school, she averaged 4.4 digs per set for Uniontown Lake in leading the Blue Streaks to three straight Federal League titles. She was an All-Federal League and all-district pick.
