Hank Schlueter’s two-run homer put the Clippers (10-3, 6-2 Inter Tri-County League Tier One) ahead in the fifth inning. Jeff Davidson doubled and hit a seventh-inning grand slam while Kyle Shaffer had three hits. Winning pitcher Bryce Miner (1-0) scattered seven hits, struck out seven and walked one. For the Blue Devils, Cody Helman’s two hits included a double.

Northwest 5, West Branch 4

BELOIT

Winning pitcher Tyler Dillon struck out 11 batters and hit a home run and double. Tyler Borotkanies had two hits for Northwest (2-6, 2-5 Northeastern Buckeye Conference. For the Warriors (5-8, 2-5), Brennan Wells’ three hits included a triple and double that drove in three runs.

Madison Yanek (5-1) tossed a no-hitter and freshman Stevie Taylor’s two hits included a homer and drove in four runs. Carly DeRose also had two hits for the Raiders (13-2). Yanek struck out eight batters and walked three.
