Mahoning grand jury indicts 2 in Galaxy Seafood attempted robbery
YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted two men connected with the attempted robbery of a North Side restaurant where a man was shot dead by an off-duty police officer.
Nathaniel Dumas, 35, of East Florida Avenue, and James Thomas, 49, of Belmont Avenue, were indicted today on charges of aggravated murder, murder and aggravated robbery.
According to police, off-duty Youngstown Officer Michael Walker was working security at Galaxy Seafood, 1722 Belmont, and was in the back of the restaurant when Warren V. Wright, 32, of Youngstown, walked in around 6 p.m. April 8, pointed a gun at a worker at the front of the establishment, and demanded money.
Wright died after being shot in the chest by Walker.
