Insider trading defense: Gov’t misled jurors


NEW YORK (AP) — The defense says the government misled jurors about comments made by a wealthy hedge fund manager in a series of phone calls secretly recorded by the FBI.

Closing arguments finished up today at a massive insider trading trial in Manhattan. The government follows with its rebuttal in the afternoon.

Prosecutors have made the wiretaps the centerpiece of their case against Raj Rajaratnam.

The former head of the Galleon Group is accused of making millions of dollars off confidential information about major moves by publicly traded companies.
