Samplers will be topic at library presentation


HOWLAND

At 7 p.m. April 27, the history and artistry of samplers will be explored during a presentation at the Howland Branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 9095 E. Market St., Howland Township.

A sampler is a piece of embroidery that embodies skillful needlework. Cynthia Foor’s program will detail the history and technique of this art form. Included will be traditional samplers from previous centuries.

The library program is free, and no reservations are required.
