Cornerstone replaced at Masonic Temple

YOUNGSTOWN

On April 5 the Board of Trustees of Youngstown Masonic Temple Company hosted a luncheon to celebrate the replacing of the cornerstone at the Masonic Temple, 223 Wick Ave.

Laid on April 5, 1909, the cornerstone was removed during the celebration of the building’s 100th anniversary. The original case and its contents are on display in the library at the Temple.

The new cornerstone box contains the following:

The Vindicator from Aug. 30, 2010.

A leather apron from Wick Lodge 481.

Hillman Lodge First One Hundred Years into the Second Century of Brotherhood.

Current U. S. coins.

A copy of the quarterly publication “Scottish Rite in Action.”
