Woman sentenced
WARREN
A 46-year-old Burghill woman who stole money from the Hartford Township Volunteer Fire Department has been sentenced to two years’ probation and 30 days house arrest with work-release privileges.
Rebecca Fike-Kuhn, of state Route 7, received the sentence Monday in the courtroom of Judge Peter Kontos of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
She pleaded guilty earlier to one count of misdemeanor theft.
Fike-Kuhn had been a volunteer firefighter with the department, but her sentence prevents her from working as a volunteer firefighter again. She also must pay restitution of $5,848, serve 100 hours of community service and complete a victim- awareness program.
