Police: Baby in car with heroin suspect in Pittsburgh chase

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police say a West Virginia man charged with heroin possession had a 4-month-old baby in the car with him when he sped away from officers who found he had crashed the car into a house a short time later.

Twenty-four-year-old Justin Pramesa, of Wellsburg, was kept overnight at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after complaining of back pain from the crash about 2 p.m. Monday.

Police charged him with heroin possession overnight based on the alleged drug deal that led detectives to chase him, and he was to be taken to the Allegheny County Jail today.

Police say two women and the baby in Pramesa’s car were not injured in the crash. The women were not charged.
