MAHONING COUNTY
Youngstown: VFW Post 6488, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will have a luncheon and egg hunt at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and hunt from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for age 2 through 12. Bring containers.
Austintown: Austintown Baptist Church, 1180 S. Raccoon Road, will have their annual egg hunt from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Coffee, milk and doughnuts will be served from 9:30 to 10 a.m. For preschool through sixth grade.
Austintown: Country Inn & Suites, 5570 Interstate Blvd., has postponed its Easter egg hunt to 2 p.m. Saturday for birth to 11 years old. Refreshments, snacks and prizes.
Boardman: Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., across from Boardman High School, will have an “Eggstraordinary Hunt” with registration at noon Saturday. Age 1 through 12 are invited. No reservations needed but participants should be accompanied by an adult. Every child will receive a bagful of special prizes and extra tickets for an auction. Each family will receive giveaway items and will qualify to win other prizes and gift cards made possible by monetary donations from area business sponsors. Sponsors are Bill’s Lawn Care & Landscaping, Boardman Printing, Bob & Chuck Eddy Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, Home Carpet, Scarves Galore & Mmore, and TransAmerican Auto Parts.
Boardman: Easter egg and goodie-bag hunt Saturday at Master’s Pavilion and the baseball field, Boardman Township Park for children 8 and under. Bring your own baskets. Dress for the weather. Age 3 and 4, 10 a.m.; and age 2 and under, 10:15 a.m. both at Master’s Pavilion; for age 5 through 8, 10:30 a.m. at the baseball field. Free admission.
Boardman: Christian Assembly, 5050 South Ave., is having an Easter celebration Saturday. Registration will be at 11 a.m. with the following activities until 1 p.m.: a story of Easter, prizes, and an egg hunt for children age 1 through 12. Participants should be accompanied by an adult.
Canfield: Dairy Queen, 101 S. Broad St., egg hunt on The Green, 11:30 a.m. Saturday for children through age 10. Hunt is planned rain or shine with prizes, candy and eggs.
North Jackson: Western Mahoning County Kiwanis Club will host an egg hunt for children 12 and under at noon Saturday at Liberty Park.
Struthers: City of Struthers egg hunt has been postponed until 11 a.m. Saturday at Struthers High School Stadium due to ground conditions. Each child will receive a special treat.
Youngstown: Dairy Queen, 3555 S. Meridian Road, 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday. Visit the Easter Bunny, and there will be a live bunny display. Bring your camera. Free candy-filled eggs; color eggs the DQ way.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Girard: Girard Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an egg hunt at Girard City Gym, 100 W. Main St., at 2 p.m. Saturday for ages three through nine years old who are resident of Girard.
Greene Township: There will be a free breakfast at 9 a.m. Sunday at Greene Community Church, 8797 Durst Colebrook Road, on the corner of Route 87, 2.6 miles west of state Route 11. Enjoy a time of fellowship as we celebrate our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. After the 10 a.m. service, there will be an egg hunt filled with candy, prizes and cash for four age groups: 4 and under, 5-7, 8-12 and 13-18.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY
East Palestine: The East Palestine Rotary Club has rescheduled its annual all-you-can-eat breakfast with the Easter Bunny featuring pancakes and sausage to 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community Center at the City Park for all ages. Cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Matted pictures with the Easter Bunny will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and will cost $8 each.
