Wine taste and auction to benefit Beatitude House

Beatitude House, which serves disadvantaged women and children in the Mahoning Valley, has scheduled its 12th annual Wine Taste and Auction for 6 p.m. May 13 at The Embassy.
The evening, which will be hosted by Jeff Kelly from WBBG FM 106.1, will include a dinner buffet; representatives from area wine distributors offering an array of premium wines; a live auction conducted by Paul Basinger, auctioneer; and silent and basket auctions.
A variety of items will be available for bidding, including tickets to an Ohio State football game, use of a condo in Hilton Head, S.C., a getaway at Casa Del Gavilan in Cimarron, N. M., tickets to the Browns vs. Steelers game, and passes to the Muirfield Men’s Golf Tournament.
Tickets for the event cost $75, and a table for eight will cost $600. To buy tickets, call Beatitude House at 330-744-3147.

Beatitude House creates homes, provides educational opportunities and fosters healthy families, giving women the opportunity to change their lives.
With 16 apartments in Youngstown and 13 in Warren, Beatitude House can provide housing for 29 homeless families. The permanent supportive housing program provides housing for women with disabilities or who have children with disabilities who need assistance on a long-term basis.
The education and career preparation program provides services to both homeless and low-income women, including life skills training, Spanish outreach, computer literacy, GED classes, ESL classes, job preparation, parenting programs, financial management and many other support services.
