There will be tea for two on Mommy and Me day

What will be brewing at the Lariccia Family Community Center in May? This year’s Mommy and Me for Tea and Fashion Show, of course.

Steeped in tradition, the tea will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. May 1 at the center, which is in Boardman Park.

The event is a semiformal tea for girls 3 to 8 years of age and their moms, grandmas or other adults. There will be plenty of tea, as well as cookies and finger foods.

Each girl will be able to model her outfit for the day and have a professional photographer take photos with mom or grandma for both to cherish.

Tickets are on sale at the park office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For Boardman residents, the cost is $12 per couple, and for nonresidents, it’s $15. Additional guest tickets are $6 each. There is limited seating, and no tickets will be sold at the door.
