MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, April 20: Glazed chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, unsweetened pineapple, green beans, wheat bread, cloud cake, sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, April 21: Meatloaf, ketchup, seasoned potatoes, mixed vegetables, fresh grapes, bread with margarine, and milk.

Friday, April 22: Macaroni and cheese, peas, Normandy blend vegetables, unsweetened fruit cocktail, bread with butter, brownie or sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Saturday, April 23: Ham on a bun, with mustard/mayonnaise, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, fresh orange, gelatin, and milk.

Monday, April 25: Barbecue meatballs, noodles, broccoli, kiwi, bread with honey and margarine, and milk.

Tuesday, April 26: Veal patty on a hamburger bun, cubed sweet potatoes, spinach, unsweetened mixed fruit, vinegar/ketchup, cookie, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, April 20: Penne pasta with meatballs and sauce, Italian green beans, lettuce with Italian dressing, Italian bread with margarine, diced pears, and milk.

Thursday, April 21: Teriyaki chicken, au gratin potatoes, oriental mixed vegetables, rye bread with margarine, fruit mix, and milk.

Friday, April 22: Breaded fish on a bun with tartar sauce, mashed yams, creamed corn, diced peaches, and milk.

Monday, April 25: Cheese omelet, sausage patty, seasoned potatoes, applesauce, blueberry muffin, orange juice, and milk.

Tuesday, April 26: Johnny Marzetti, cauliflower, lima beans, white bread with margarine, fruit mix, and milk.
