Pasture Walk planned at farm

A “Pasture Walk” is planned for 6 p.m. April 28 at Betty Mills’ farm at 5244 Marble Road.

Topics of interest that will be addressed include: laying out a new grazing operation, watering options in remote locations, and weed and brush control methods.

All participants will have the opportunity to be involved in planning and designing this pasture system.

Participants are encouraged to visit with the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council members, Soil and Water Conservation District, and Natural Resources Conservation Service personnel during a social gathering after the workshop. Bring your lawn chairs. Refreshments will be provided.

The walk is presented by the grazing council in cooperation with Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, & Mahoning SWCDs and the NRCSs.
