Realtist Association schedules memorial scholarship luncheon

Youngstown-Warren Realtist Association will host the Vivian D. Martin Realtist Memorial Scholarship Luncheon from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Mahoning Country Club, 710 E. Liberty St.

The keynote speaker will be Atty. Yulanda McCarty-Harris, director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity at Youngstown State University.

The 2011 Honorary Realtist of the Year Award will be bestowed posthumously on Martin. The association also is launching a scholarship program in her honor.

By raising $5,000 for the program, the organization will qualify for a 100 percent match of the funds through the Youngstown State University Scholarship Foundation. The $10,000 will be available for scholarships to black seniors graduating from Youngstown and Warren public schools.

Donations to the scholarship fund can be made at any Huntington National Bank branch.
