Anniversary is celebrated by the Garretts

Mr. and Mrs. William P. Garrett of Boardman observed their 50th wedding anniversary by attending a dinner theater production at Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana with family members and friends. The outing was a gift from their son James Garrett of Boardman.

The Garretts have another son, DeWayne Garrett of Columbiana, and three grandchildren.

The former Irene Gardner and Mr. Garrett were united in marriage on April 15, 1961, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, Ohio.

Mr. Garrett was a general manager of Ohio for White Star Trucking Inc. in North Jackson prior to retiring.

Mrs. Garrett retired as a human resource assistant from Shepherd of the Valley in Austintown in 2009. She is a member of Old North Church.
