ASHLAND

Erin Gabriel (5-0) struck out 14 and did not walk a batter, giving up her lone hit on a bloop in the fourth inning to lead Poland (7-0) in the Wendy’s Classic. Maura Bobby hit an RBI double in the third inning to score Emily Chandler for the game’s only run. Lauren Baumgart tossed a four-hitter for the Lancers (6-6).

Fitch 9, Western Reserve 1

BERLIN CENTER

Amanda Callahan tossed a four-hitter, striking out 10, for Fitch (4-2). She also hit four singles and a double, and had three stolen bases. Megan Carney went 4 for 4 with a double, and Cali Mikovich and Alex Corradi had two singles each. Maggie Stubbs led Western Reserve (7-4) with three hits, including a triple and double, and had a RBI. Sissy Stubbs added a double.

Mooney 9, Struthers 6

STRUTHERS

Trailing 5-1, Mooney scored four runs in both the fifth and six innings thanks to six errors by Struthers. Simone Zeoli doubled and scored a run and Corynn Ozenghar had two hits and scored a run for Mooney (5-2). Sami Basista doubled twice and drove in three for Struthers (4-6), while Ashley Hefferon had two hits and Sarah Sajnovsky doubled and drove in two.

Hubbard 13, Liberty 0

HUBBARD

Keri Durina had two hits, including a three-run homer in the first inning, and drove in four runs to lead Hubbard (4-1, 1-0 AAC White). Ashley Bone also had two hits, including a homer, while Megan Rice and Julia Clemente added two hits apiece. Haley Thirion pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks. For Liberty, Victoria Serrano had two hits.

Lakeview 8, Bristol 0

BRISTOLVILLE

Lauren Casassa (2-0) and Taylor Waid combined on a two-hitter to lead Lakeview (4-0). Laura Innocenzi had three hits, including a double, and Lexi George had a single, triple and two RBIs. Alyssa Nicholas and Jamie Sentner each hit homers. For Bristol, Lauren Elza tripled.

Howland 11, Beaver Local 1

HOWLAND

Tori McCormick struck out four and walked a pair while hitting two singles for the winners. Teammates Alyse March, Kristen Vardavis and Julia Sheffiled each had a pair of singles. Hayley Marchio had three singles and drove in a pair, while Erika Nites brought home three. Emily Price had a double and two base hits and scored three times.

Girard 9, LaBrae 7

LEAVITTSBURG

LaBrae fell just short of rallying for the win after a four-run seventh inning ended on three lineouts. Kyie Kulon, Brianna Jay and Nichole Hollabaugh each had two hits for Girard. Danielle Webber added a pair of base hits for the Vikings.

Springfield 6, Lisbon 5

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Jessica Evans hit a game-winning, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the eighth. Nicole Siciliano singled, doubled and tripled for Springfield (3-4, 3-2 ITCL Tier One), which took a 5-1 lead. Devon Sowers and Evans each had two hits, including a double, and Charley Troggio had two hits. Katie Snoddy and Lauren Ketchum each had two hits, including a double, for Lisbon (6-2, 4-1).

Columbiana 10, Sebring 1

COLUMBIANA

Hayley Goist hit a pair of singles to lead Columbiana (5-4). Taylor Ward singled twice for Sebring (3-9), which committed eight errors.

McDonald 12, Wellsville 2

MCDONALD

Leigh Gatta was the winning pitcher and had two hits for McDonald. Emily Magill had a pair of hits and three RBIs for the Blue Devils, while Shelby Christ singled twice with two RBIs.

Jackson-Milton 11, Leetonia 1

NORTH JACKSON

Katie Santor homered, tripled and drove in four runs for Jackson-Milton (8-2, 6-0 ITCL Tier Two). Paije Kiraly added three hits and pitched a four-hitter, striking out seven without a walk, to get the win.

West Branch 2, Southeast 1

BELOIT

Emily Weber (7-2) struck out eight and walked one, pitching a three-hitter to lead West Branch (7-2). Reagan Rito doubled, while Tia King and Jessica Richards each had RBIs. For Southeast, Emily Willis doubled.

Salem 6, Struthers 5

SALEM

On Thursday, Sami Basista had two singles for Struthers, while Rachel Affagato hit a triple and Ashley Hefferon and Jessica Ditman had doubles for Struthers. Salem scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth.
