Jamie Clausen had a one-hitter with seven strikeouts and an RBI single in the third inning for the game’s only run for the Cardinals (4-2). LeAnn Hermez scored the run after advancing on a bunt single by Brie Ozenghar. To preserve the win in the last of the seventh, Ozenghar, with two outs and the potentially tying run coming home, made a diving catch in shallow center. Dana Creatore had a fourth-inning single for the Irish (5-3).

Casey Rohr had 11 strikeouts and allowed just four hits to the Fitch batters. Megan Carney had two singles while Alana Callahan and Carly Ortz each had a base hit for the Falcons (3-2). Perry is 3-1.
Lakeview 6, Liberty 1
Cortland
Alexis Neumeister (2-0) had 16 strikeouts and issued no walks while Laura Innocenzi had three hits for Lakeview (3-0, 1-0 All-American Conference Blue Tier). Caitlin McDivitt and Laura Innocenzi had two RBIs for the Bulldogs. Leah Leshnack and Victoria Serrano had two hits apiece for Liberty (0-4, 0-2). Lakeview’s Jamie Sentner also had a double as did Liberty’s Serrano.
Canfield 13, Niles 2
CANFIELD
Carlee Hart pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and five walks and Hart had a two-run homer and double. Also for the Cardinals (1-3), Sarah Vrabel had two doubles and an RBI while Abby Baker and Laura Beck both had a double and two RBIs. Sami Ramer and Lindsay Dodgson had the only hits, for the Red Dragons (1-4).
Hubbard 4, Brookfield 2
HUBBARD
Ashley Bone’s four hits included a home run and double for the Eagles (3-1). She drove in two runs. Samantha Dudley’s two hits included a double. Julia Clemente (1-0) and Haley Thirion pitched for Hubbard.
Champion 12, Jefferson 0
JEFFERSON
Junior Lindsay Swipas (6-0) had a complete, five-inning perfect game that included eight strikeouts. Swipas, Tawny Rogers and Emilee Hohvart all had three hits while Sierra Blackson had two doubles for Champion (8-0). Swipas, Hohvart, Haley McAllister and Brooke Culler had one double for the Golden Flashes. Rogers and Swipas had home runs: Rogers a three-run homer and Swipas a two-run homer.
Mineral Ridge 6, Springfield 2
MINERAL RIDGE
Meghan Garland (2-3) picked up her second win of the season for the Rams, while adding a pair of hits including a double. Teammate Miranda Smith also had two hits including a triple. Charlie Troggio had two hits, including a double for the Tigers.
Jackson-Milton 20, Leetonia 1
LEETONIA
Kate Santor had a home run and triple while Maddie Griffiths had a home run and double. Also for the Bluejays (7-2), Paige Kiraly and Taylor Thrap had two doubles while Rachael Obradovich doubled. Kiraly (7-2) had nine strikeouts for the Bluejays.
Sebring 12, East Liverpool 6
EAST LIVERPOOL
Sebring’s offense started off strong and kept going all the way through seven innings to post the lopsided victory. The Trojans (3-8) had 20 hits and scored two or more runs in four innings, including a four-run first inning. Taylor Ward (4), Taylor Bailey (3), Karie Meek (3), Kayla Maretich (2) and Nikki Frydrak (2) combined for 14 hits. Each had a double while Bailey added a triple and scored twice, Frydrak and Meek each had three RBIs and Maretich brought home two. Courtney Maretich, Haley Wheeler and Elaina Jurica also had two hits apiece.
West Branch 4, Minerva 1
BELOIT
Brandi Snyder went 3-for-3 for the Warriors while teammates Brittany Lippencott and Emily Weber each had two hits. Weber had a double and Reagan Rito had a pair of RBIs. Leading the way for Minerva was Mayson Hardgrove, who was 2-for-3.
Mathews 6, Maplewood 4
VIENNA
Sophomore Jess Marsico and freshman Maddie Grimes had two singles apiece for Mathews (1-3). Also for the Mustangs, sophomore Jackie Rhine doubled. Senior Brittany Schnarrs threw eight strikeouts during her three-hitter. Brooke Dawson had 10 strikeouts and one walk for Maplewood.
Lordstown 10, Bristol 2
BRISTOLVILLE
Winning pitcher Briana Sinn tossed a two-hitter, striking out 10 and walking three. Sami Heverly had three hits, scored twice and drove in a run. Heather Darocha hit a two-run triple for the Red Devils (4-1, 2-1 NAC). For the Panthers, Li Elza tripled and scored.
