Southside Community Garden dedication Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN

A Southside Community Garden dedication will be Sunday at 2 p.m. on the 100 block of Williamson Avenue on the city’s South Side.

At the event, the land will be dedicated to God, a ground breaking will follow sometime in May, and there will be two sunflower beds and a pumpkin patch among items planted.

Southside Community Garden is a sponsored project of Grow Youngstown, with funding coming from the Raymond John Wean Foundation Neighborhood SUCCESS Grant Program.

The garden is located on the corner of Williamson Avenue and Erie Street, one block west of Interstate 680.
