Shepherd looks to fill positions during event

Mahoning County One-Stop, in conjunction with Shepherd of the Valley, will host a recruiting event Thursday in hopes of filling up to 20 positions at its four Mahoning Valley locations.
The event, at One-Stop, 141 Boardman-Canfield Road, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.
Christine Bok, health-care account executive, said Shepherd is looking to fill a variety of positions, including a director of nursing, two or three registered nurses and four state-tested nursing assistants.
There also are openings for maintenance and housekeeping positions.
Bok said pay varies with experience, and all positions include benefit packages. She said STNAs can earn $12.25 per hour if they choose to forgo a benefits package.
Shepherd, which has about 645 employees, serves more than 700 residents at its Boardman, Howland, Niles and Poland locations.
