ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. May 2 at Mount Carmel Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown. Artist Rosemary Cardoza will discuss Michelangelo, and John Gabriele’s one-man band will provide cultural enrichment. The cost is $15 for each paid-up member and $20 for each nonmember. Those attending are asked to take personal items such as toothpaste, bathroom tissue, razors, etc., for distribution by The Gleaners charity.

Girard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school.

CLASSES

Chaney High School Class of 1960 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson’s Restaurant on Canfield Road in Cornersburg. All classmates and spouses are welcome.

South High School Class of 1953 will have a monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Johnny’s on Market Street in Boardman. All classmates are welcome. The class is planning a picnic for July 19 at Boardman Park.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1953 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Johnny’s on Market Street in Boardman. Guests are welcome.

CLUBS

Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon lunch and meeting. A Founders Day program will be presented by the speaker, Debra Moore Bryan. Hostesses will be Carol Richards and Karen Dennison.

McDonald Arts and Crafts Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Community Room at the post office building.

Friends of the Austintown Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the community room. The speaker, Joyce Gottron, parks supervisor for Austintown Township, will present an informative program on the Austintown Township Park System, followed by a presentation on backyard wildlife. Bereaved Parents of the USA, Mahoning County-Youngstown Chapter of a national nonprofit self-help group that offers support, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and other family members, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
