Top Hat to present ‘Earth Trembled’

Top Hat Productions will present free performances of “The Earth Trembled” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and April 22 and 23 at Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown- Poland Road.

The Passion play was first presented in Conneaut in 1992, when Top Hat operated as a touring company.

For more than 10 years, the group traveled throughout Ohio using a core group of Top Hat performers as main characters, and members from churches visited in supporting roles.

Some productions saw as many as 85 cast members on stage at one time. The production now is staged at Top Hat’s permanent home at Fairview.

Audience members develop a new understanding of the greatest story ever told from Biblical times, as the drama of the Crucifixion, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ is re-enacted. Seating is on a first-come basis.
