Free seminar for teen girls Saturday at Warren YWCA

WARREN — The YWCA of Warren is offering a free seminar for teen girls and their parents at 10 a.m. Saturday at the YWCA, 375 North Park Ave. The event is part of the Warren YWCA’s Minority Health Month Seminar Series.

Mary Duke, founder and executive director of Teen Straight Talk, is the keynote speaker.

Also, a panel of teen mothers will speak about their experiences and the challenges they had to overcome raising a child alone. The first 50 attendees will receive an all-weather tote bag, and there will be a raffle to win Giant Eagle gift cards.

The seminar schedule is registration, 10 to 10:30 a.m.; Duke presentation, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; teen panel, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; lunch, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. For more information, call Danette Palmer at 330-373-1010 ext. 13.
