ACTION members to lobby Eastwood Expo gun show dealers

Members of ACTION (Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods) will visit Niles Gun Show at Eastwood Expo Center at 1 p.m. Saturday.

They will talk with private gun sellers about a loophole in federal law that allows private sellers to sell guns without conducting background checks.

ACTION members will hand out fact sheets and speak with gun show vendors and attendees to draw attention to the role that gun shows play in arming criminals and to launch a campaign to persuade Niles Gun Show Inc. to require background checks on all guns sold at its shows.
