Ohio man found stabbed to death in rural home

NEW MARSHFIELD, Ohio (AP) — A man has been found stabbed to death in his home in a small town in southeast Ohio.

Athens County Sheriff Patrick Kelly says investigators suspect 43-year-old James Braden McClain was killed in the course of a robbery. Kelly says in a statement that McClain died of multiple stab wounds.

The sheriff says deputies were called to the man’s home Tuesday afternoon after family members found McClain in his living room in New Marshfield, about 60 miles southeast of Columbus.

Authorities did not immediately announce an arrest or name a suspect.
