Dinner and a raffle to be scholarship fundraiser

NEW SPRINGFIELD

The 8th annual Matt Root Memorial Scholarship Fund and Springfield Lil’ Tigers football will benefit from a dinner, raffle and basket auction planned for 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets include dinner and the raffle. The meal consists of salad, spaghetti, meatballs, bread, desserts and coffee, punch or iced tea. Takeouts will be available.

Ticket holders have a chance to win a 22-inch HDTV, an iPod Touch and an IGA gift certificate.
