Former Ohio Gov. James A. Rhodes tells Mahoning County Republicans that repairs to the Lake Milton Dam should take no more than six months. The Celeste administration says it will take two years to refurbish the dam.

1936: William H. Muldoon, general manager of the Youngstown Municipal Railway Co., announces that a contract has been signed for 25 trolley buses from the Twin Coach Co. of Kent, Ohio. The cost of buses and overhead is $430,000.

Officers and directors of Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. are registered holders of 95,548 of the outstanding 1.2 million common shares, the Wall Street Journal reports.
