Police ID motorcyclist killed Sunday on West Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday as Kenneth Wix, 36, of Youngstown’s West Side.

Patricia Garcar, police traffic investigator, said today that Wix was traveling down Burkey Road on the West Side at 9:45 p.m. when he hit a guardrail at Meridian Road and was killed.

She said police have not been able to determine the speed Wix was traveling, but he was not wearing a helmet, and police believe the motorcycle did not have headlights.
