Artistic celebration of gays set for YSU
YOUNGSTOWN
“StandOut 2011,” an artistic celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual community in the Youngstown area, will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday outside Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.
The event will feature informational tables for community organizations and sponsors. Activities will include banner and rock painting, ribbon giveaways, a bake sale, live performances and more.
“StandOut 2011” seeks to create strong networks of support, encourage teamwork and diversity and build relationships between all members of the local LGBTQIA community on and off YSU’s campus.
