Program to review bulk-mailing changes

The Mahoning/Shenango Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is hosting an all-day informational program at 11 a.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave.
The program will focus on bulk-mailing changes for nonprofit organizations. Jeff Hill and Paul Mahin, members of Postal Customer Care, will be speakers. Attendance is $15 for association members, $30 for nonmembers and $10 for full-time students.
Inventors to meet
LIBERTY
The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Township Administration Building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
At the free meeting, J.D. Sanders, consultant with Advantage Promo Inc., will discuss marketing strategies.

AmeriCorps VISTA position available

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation, 201 E. Commerce St., Suite 140, is seeking applications for an AmeriCorps VISTA position.
Duties will include relationship and community building, and neighborhood planning. The position begins in July and will include a monthly living stipend, child-care assistance, an end-of-service stipend or educational award, health coverage, relocation allowance and training. The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a business expo for women, minority and small-business owners. The Mahoning Valley Small Business Conference & Expo will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 at Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business.
Deb ≥rah Benton of the syndicated TV program “The Deb ≥rah Show” and Charlie Staples, owner of Charlie Staples Bar-B-Q, will speak. The expo will feature training sessions on topics such as federal contracting, email etiquette and social networking.
