Mark Zeidenstein, secretary, treasurer and account executive at L. Calvin Jones & Company, has secured a $1,000 grant for Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries. The Agency Hands in the Community grant, given by The Allstate Foundation, recognizes an Allstate or Encompass insurance agent who has a record of community service. The grant money is presented to the agent’s charity of choice. L. Calvin Jones & Company sells insurance products through Encompass, an Allstate affiliate.

Cambridge Home Health Care received the 2011 NEO Success Award from Inside Business magazine. The award was given to 76 Northeast Ohio businesses in recognition of company growth. The Akron-based company has offices in Youngstown, Warren, Salem, New Castle, Pa., Hermitage, Pa., and Butler, Pa.

Yvonne Miller was named Employee of the Year at Shepherd of the Valley’s Niles location. Miller is a residential assistant who has worked for the company since 1984. Shepherd of the Valley is a nonprofit, senior-care agency with offices in Boardman, Poland, Howland, Niles and Youngstown.

Time Warner Cable won eight Image Awards from the Ohio Cable Telecommunications Association. The awards recognize association members for their efforts to build better customer relationships and a positive company image. Awards received are: the Employee Outreach award for its See the Difference Employee Communication Campaign; the Excellence In Local Programming award for its Northeast Ohio Network and Local On Demand option; the Entertainment Programming award for its SMARTS: STEM Edition program; the Live Action Sports Programming award for its TWC High School Football Game of the Week program; three Community Affairs Programming awards for its Strange Matter, Robotics Competition and Young Inventors programs; and the PSA/Promotional Message award.

International steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal received an Energy Star award from the U.S. Department of Energy for its efforts to reduce energy use at its U.S. production facilities, including its Warren coke plant. This is the fourth consecutive Energy Star award for the company.

The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Mahoning Valley inducted six of its former leaders into its hall of fame. Inductees are: Jerry Carleton of Jerry Carleton Enterprises; Guy F. Damore of D&A Contracting Company; Gary Esasky of Dominion East Ohio Gas and Plaza Lumber; Robert J. Lidle, HBA executive director from 1962-79; Frank Pasquale of First Place Bank; and James Stewart of Stewart Brothers.

The Warren Harley-Davidson dealership received the 2010 Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Achievement Award from the Harley-Davidson Motor Co. The award recognizes sales performance, customer service and satisfaction and various operational measures.
